Sales staff are vital to our business and have a real impact on our bottom line. ‘People buy from people’ so you’ll need to be great at establishing a network of contacts, really getting to know clients and building fantastic relationships.

We’ve a huge hire fleet of equipment, so you’ll need to develop excellent product knowledge and be passionate about Sunbelt and all that we stand for. You’ll be supported every step of the way with fantastic product training and colleague support.

“My first ever contact with Sunbelt was when I was 15 years old. As part of my Business Studies GCSE course, we visited companies of different sizes and one of those was Sunbelt to represent a PLC. The trip made an impression on me, little did I know that I’d be working for the company some years later!

A people person

“I went to university and completed my degree in Business and Financial Management, working at McDonalds whilst I was studying. I originally joined Sunbelt as a Sales Ledger Clerk with the intention of pursuing a career in accountancy, but I missed the customer-facing side of the role which I loved so much whilst I was working at McDonalds.

Great advice and guidance

“After three years working on the sales ledger, I moved into the role of Sales Executive. In my role I work as part of the team at the Sunbelt depot in Manchester city centre. Even though I’d never done construction sales before, I loved it from day one and I was shadowed by an experienced Sales Executive who gave me some great advice.

Keeping me on my toes

“There’s a lot going on and I love the fast-paced nature of my role. Every day’s different and the job challenges me. It keeps me on my toes and we’ve got some fantastic customers.
