My Sunbelt Story
Billy Wharton, Director, Critical Power
As part of our series showcasing the amazing team-mates in our Energy Solutions business, today we hear from Billy who leads our Critical Power Team.
Billy joined Sunbelt Rentals in April 2023 following an extensive career that’s seen him lead on high value, complex energy projects throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Having started his career in the British Army, Billy is an Electrical Engineer by trade, serving in the Royal Core signals for over 6 years, before passing his apprenticeship and moving into the Energy Rental market.
Throughout his career Billys managed hundreds of complex temporary and critical power applications working with both fossil fuels and renewables.
So, when the opportunity arose to re-locate back to the UK and join Sunbelt Rentals’ growing Energy team, he took it and is enjoying both the daily challenges and rewards they bring.
