Our Professional Business Support teams play a crucial role as they provide advice, guidance and services across the whole of Sunbelt.

Our Teams include Marketing, IT, Credit Control, Procurement, Finance, Transport, and Human Resources. The majority of roles are based at our support office on Birchwood Park, Warrington.

Customer Support Careers. We also have Customer Support Centres at various locations across the UK where our friendly teams manage key accounts and are Sunbelt Ambassadors, delivering excellent  customer service in line with our ‘Customer First’ culture.

“Before I joined the company, I was a stay-at-home Mum and was also studying accounts at college. I was looking for a job role that could offer some flexibility around my family life, whilst allowing me to become professionally qualified.

I’ve recently returned from a year’s maternity leave after having my second child. I now work three days a week and I’m becoming qualified through home learning.

“I originally joined Sunbelt as a Credit Manager back in 2002. Some years later an opportunity arose for a much wider role and I now head up a team of almost 40 colleagues looking after all financial transactions.

Adding value

“As a team, we’re responsible for managing all customer and supplier financial relationships. We deal with over 12,500 customers on the customer ledger, making monthly cash collections of around £50 million. On the purchase ledger side, we deal with more than 2,000 suppliers. As well as the day-to-day tasks of collecting money, we add real value in terms of managing relationships with key customers and suppliers.

“I started off my career in Human Resources as a HR Apprentice and worked for a few different companies in HR administration roles before I joined Sunbelt. It’s totally different to where I’d worked in the past. The HR department is far bigger and there are multiple different divisions within the company.

“As I work as part of a HR team of more than 15 people, there’s a great deal of support and I can honestly say I love working alongside my colleagues. I originally joined as a HR Administrator but within 18 months, I was promoted to HR Advisor. I was over the moon when I was told about my promotion!

Every day’s different

“In my daily job, I can be dealing with any number of tasks. One minute I can be giving advice to a Manager on the phone, the next I can be preparing a report on Excel or sending out a letter to a colleague. I’m quite technical so I really like the reporting side of my job.

Excited about the future

“There’s every opportunity to develop at Sunbelt and the company funded my CIPD Level 5 HR qualification. One day I’d love to progress even further and become a HR Manager!”
