“I started working for the company almost 35 years ago now as an Apprentice Fitter on a four year YTS scheme as it was known then. I joined straight from school as I’d always had an interest in mechanics. I was a Fitter for around 12 years, before moving to the hire desk and being made a Service Centre Manager two years later.

Best thing that’s ever happened to me

“Before being promoted to Regional Director I was the Manager of Sunbelt Rentals Chadderton branch and I’m proud to say that it’s the company’s biggest service centre to date. It’s the best thing that’s ever happened to me whilst I’ve been at Sunbelt. Over 100 people work across the site and the facilities are just superb. We’ve got glass panelled offices, a huge canteen, our own conference room and a fantastic amount of workshop space.

“There have been many memorable moments whilst I’ve been working at Sunbelt. One of my greatest achievements was winning the ‘Champion of Champions Best Depot of the Year Award’ when I managed the Liverpool City depot.
