We have an exciting new role for a National Account Support Manager who will be integral to the success of our national sales strategy, ensuring that we have a consistent, joined-up approach to managing our customer base. There really couldn’t be a better time to join, as you’ll make the key decisions, shape the strategy and implement your growth plan.

Working closely with National & Strategic Accounts teams, you will own and support the management of a key national account. You’ll build strong relationships at all levels, from site teams to Account Directors, while proactively identifying growth opportunities and ensuring exceptional customer experience. These roles are central to delivering our mission: providing an unbeatable, greener, customer-centric service across our full portfolio of products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary contact for national FM customer, building strong, trusted relationships at all levels.
  • Understand customer needs across business units and tailor solutions that deliver value and exceed expectations.
  • Promote the full range of Sunbelt Rentals products, services, and Greener Solutions portfolio.

Account Administration & Support

  • Provide dedicated support to national accounts including SLAs, pricing agreements, contract management, and general account administration.
  • Manage bespoke reporting, invoice queries, damages, and loss claims.
  • Respond to customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyse utilisation, financial performance, and market data to identify trends and growth opportunities.
  • Provide recommendations to optimise account profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Produce regular updates and reports for senior management.

Sales & Bid Support

  • Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and contract negotiations.
  • Contribute to tender and bid submissions.
  • Work collaboratively with sales, operations, finance, logistics, and hire desks to deliver seamless account plans.

Revenue Growth & Opportunity Management

  • Proactively manage customer sites and projects, ensuring consistent engagement.
  • Identify leads and pass them to the appropriate sales colleagues for follow-up.
  • Build a strong pipeline of regional and national opportunities, ensuring all revenue potential is maximised.
  • Support cross-selling by introducing category specialists into customer projects.

To succeed as a National Account Support Manager you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

  • Proven experience in customer relationship management, account management, or telesales.
  • Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to analyse data and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Customer-centric approach with a track record of delivering excellent service.
  • Resilient, proactive, and highly motivated to “make things happen.”
  • Flexible, positive attitude with strong collaborative skills.
  • Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office, CRM systems).
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including regular overnight stays.
  • Knowledge of hire contracts and T&C's - Desirable 
  • Knowledge of the hire industry and FM sector - Desirable 
  • Experience supporting or managing national accounts within the FM sector.
