About The Role

We are currently looking for a UK Logistics Scheduler to join our busy team at Engineered Access. This role is designed to give an enthusiastic and passionate individual, an opportunity to use their existing skill set and develop within the business as it continues to expand, supporting the business’ cradle to grave approach.

The main purpose of the role is to manage the UK stock and vehicle movements ensuring Trakway delivers the highest standard and is stringently following legal guidelines and compliance, whilst maintaining a view on profitability and efficiency of the fleet. There will also be the need to interact with other Sunbelt Rentals divisions to ensure fleet utilisation is managed to attain optimum efficiency whilst providing best in class service and quality. 

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • A progressive manager encouraging and administering the culture of the company
  • Ensure that all in house vehicles are compliant with all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements, and where necessary escalating any identified issues and recommending resolution to the Compliance Manager
  • Procuring and managing a nationwide transport supply chain to attain an efficient support to all field operations within Engineered Access and the wider Sunbelt Rentals business  
  • Maintaining management information to review, assess and implement future progressive strategies
  • Responsible for administration of the procurement process, on time, in full and reporting outputs monthly
  • Communication to site crew, including voice calls, to maintain the flow of mandatory paperwork
  • Manage the transfer of assets throughout the UK, Ireland and EU including overseas haulage and sea crossings 
  • Without compromise, the control of assets should be of paramount importance and a complete audit trail should be present to share with the Engineered Access asset management team 
  • Management of load references to ensure that deliveries are on time and in full 100% of the time

  • The ability to make own decisions, schedule crews and make changes to plans if required.
  • The ability to work with other departments where necessary to overcome problems.
  • A good level of communication both through telephone and written form with a range of individuals, across different departments and locations.
  • Responsibility for allocating crews to customer locations and to training where required.
  • An effective team member with a highly supportive, collaborative approach
  • A flexible and adaptable approach, you’ll enjoy a varied work day in a fast-paced operational environment where you’ll manage multiple tasks, deadlines and targets whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy
  • A good level of computer literacy in MS Office packages.
