We have an exciting new role for a Technical Sales Manager covering the UK and EuropeWe are a leading provider of critical power solutions, delivering reliable and resilient energy infrastructure to a diverse range of industries, including data centres, healthcare, telecommunications, and industrial facilities. The Technical Sales Support Manager – Critical Power will play a pivotal role in supporting our sales function by providing expert technical knowledge, preparing detailed proposals and CAD drawings, and acting as a key liaison between customers, sales teams, and internal engineering departments. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, customer engagement experience, and industry knowledge within critical power systems.

Key Responsibilities:
 

Technical Sales Support

  • Deliver high-quality technical support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle.
  • Analyse customer requirements and provide tailored critical power solutions.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, datasheets, and product specifications.
  • Respond to technical queries from customers and internal stakeholders in a timely manner.

CAD & Technical Documentation

  • Create, review, and update CAD drawings, schematics, and system layouts for critical power applications.
  • Work collaboratively with engineering and design teams to ensure accurate technical documentation.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet industry standards and customer expectations.

Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build trusting relationships with clients, understanding their business and technical needs.
  • Attend customer meetings, presentations, and site surveys as required.
  • Support the sales team in technical negotiations and solution demonstrations.

Project Coordination & Communication

  • Coordinate with internal engineering, operations, and project management teams to align on customer requirements and delivery timelines.
  • Track and report on sales support activities, opportunities, and technical issues.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve product offerings and sales processes.

About You

To succeed in the role you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

  • Electrical qualification (e.g., HND/HNC, BEng, NVQ Level 3/4 in Electrical Engineering, equivalent).
  • Proven experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
  • Strong understanding of electrical power systems, distribution, UPS, generators, and related critical power infrastructure.
  • Previous experience in technical sales support, sales engineering, or a related technical customer-facing role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving with a proactive approach to troubleshooting customer challenges.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Customer-focused with a commercial mindset.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
