About The Role

The L&D Training Lead plays a pivotal role in supporting the successful rollout of the organisation’s Customer Experience (CX) programme—helping to deliver key learning components that build colleague capability, enhance service behaviours, and reinforce the organisation’s CX vision.

The post-holder will also play a key role in the organisation’s Digital Transformation change programme, ensuring colleagues are supported through the transition to a new system that underpins and enables the CX strategy. This includes helping colleagues understand new processes, technology and ways of working linked to service improvement.

In addition to driving capability across these programmes, the role will design and deliver People Skills development, onboarding and induction programmes, helping colleagues feel confident and perform effectively from day one.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the ongoing delivery of the organisation’s CX programme, embedding customer‑centric behaviours and service excellence.
  • Facilitate CX training modules already developed, ensuring consistent delivery and high learner engagement.
  • Use customer insights and feedback to reinforce key behaviours and support continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Digital, CX and Operational teams to help colleagues adapt to the new system being introduced as part of the change programme.
  •  Deliver training on new workflows, processes and system behaviours that directly support the CX ambition.
  • Create simple, accessible learning resources that help colleagues navigate digital changes confidently.
  • Conduct training needs analysis to identify skills and behavioural gaps across teams.
  • Design and develop engaging learning solutions that support both business‑wide change and day‑to‑day capability requirements.
  • Ensure all learning content remains accurate, relevant and aligned to the organisation’s CX and digital strategies.
  • Deliver People Skills courses, induction programmes, behavioural workshops and team development sessions.
  • Adapt facilitation style to suit different audiences, formats and delivery methods—virtual, in person and blended.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to support learning transfer and behavioural change.
What can we offer you in return? You’ll be joining a highly successful FTSE100 company, the UK’s largest equipment rental provider.  We provide an Industry leading flexible rewards package including generous holiday allowance (with the opportunity to buy and sell annual leave), life assurance, retail discount scheme, employee recognition awards and a great Company pension scheme.
