About The Role

Due to the continued expansion of our Film & TV operation  we are recruiting dedicated industry professional to further develop our Commercial and Short form customer base.
 
The role will oversee the day-to-day operation of the rental desk, ensuring a high level of service is delivered to customers while supporting the wider team and contributing to overall business performance. This role involves leading a small team, managing workloads, and playing an active part in achieving revenue targets, while maintaining strong working relationships across the business.
 
  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service ensuring a professional experience.
  •  Lead, support, and develop a team of rental desk staff, providing guidance and ensuring workloads are managed effectively.
  • Take ownership of revenue targets, monitoring performance and supporting the team to achieve agreed goals.
  • Play a key role in driving sales and revenue growth by actively developing and maintaining industry contacts, identifying new business opportunities, and converting relationships into hire activity.
  • Work closely with other departments, improve profitability, and promote additional services where appropriate.
  • Build a strong understanding of customer requirements and take ownership of key accounts and enquiries.
  • Maintain effective working relationships across all depots to support a smooth and consistent service.
  • Manage hire rates, equipment availability, and utilisation to optimise performance.
  • Support the preparation of equipment to a high standard, ensuring it is ready for hire as required.
  • Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of the equipment range and its applications.
  • Provide advice and support to both customers and colleagues to help meet their requirements.
  • Ensure all hire contracts and related administration are completed accurately and in a timely manner, in line with company procedures.

  • Experience in a rental, operations, or customer service environment
  • Previous experience supervising or managing a team
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Commercial awareness and ability to work towards targets
  • Proven ability to build and leverage industry relationships to generate revenue and support business growth
  •  Willingness to learn and develop product knowledge
