About The Role

We’re looking for the very best talent to join us at this exciting time in our journey, as we continue to strengthen our market leader position by providing an even better customer experience. We have an exciting new role for a Business Development Manager, working regionally with the primary aim of winning and developing revenue streams from customers using Powered Access and working on Major Projects. The applicant will require experience in sector specific equipment with great relationships with customers.

Working closely with the sales and Operations teams to develop and deliver a commercial strategy for our products, you key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and grow current customer relationships and grow our revenue from Major Projects & Data Centre work.
  • Develop and manage a Regional project and portfolio pipeline to drive new business growth.
  • Identify new and upcoming projects and create strategic plans to gain traction and market share in the sector.
  • Promote cross selling opportunities through all division of Sunbelt Rentals divisions which include Plant, Utilities, Climate Control etc.

You will have the experience in sector specific equipment, confidence and ability to positively and professionally represent Sunbelt Rentals UK and Ireland and develop strong and successful relationships with key external stakeholders. You will also be able to demonstrate the experience and ability to lead on tender bids ensuring profitability and fully maximised ROI.

About You

To succeed as a Business Development Manager you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

  • You will have already undertaken an Account Management role and have significant experience in the Plant and Tool Hire Industry, preferably in a Sales role.
  • You will have the experience, confidence and ability to positively and professionally represent Sunbelt Rentals and develop strong and successful relationships with key external stakeholders. You will also be able to demonstrate the experience and ability to lead on tender bids ensuring profitability and good ROI.
 
The essential requirements:
  • Considerable sales experience of working closely with large customers
  • Commercial Acumen – to ensure competitive contracts are proposed and bid for
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – both internally and externally
  • Good understanding of hire contracts and terms
  • Teamwork – able to work across teams and across the company to build customers proposals and form commercial contracts
