About The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and manage concert touring operations within the Film & TV sector. The Operations Manager will work closely with production teams, artists, venues, and logistics providers to deliver high-quality experiences for audiences worldwide. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Planning & Execution
  • Develop and manage comprehensive touring schedules, ensuring alignment with production timelines and project objectives.
  • Coordinate with creative directors, producers, and musical directors to understand artistic requirements and translate them into operational plans.
  • Oversee the booking of venues, liaising with venue management to confirm technical specifications, rider requirements, and compliance with local regulations.

Team Management

  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary touring team, including production crew, technical staff, and logistics personnel.
  • Facilitate clear communication among all stakeholders, ensuring alignment across creative, technical, and logistical functions.
  • Hire and onboard temporary staff or contractors as needed for specific tours.

Logistics & Budget Management

  • Oversee all logistical aspects of touring, including transportation of equipment, set pieces, and personnel.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining production quality.
  • Secure necessary permits, licenses, and insurance for tours across various regions and countries.

Quality Assurance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all performances meet the high standards expected of Film & TV-related productions.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks, including technical failures, safety hazards, or scheduling conflicts.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to identify opportunities for improvement.

Stakeholder Relations

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the touring team and external stakeholders, including sponsors, media partners, and rights holders.
  • Maintain strong relationships with artists, agencies, and unions to facilitate smooth collaborations.
  • Represent the production’s interests at industry events and meetings.

To succeed as a Operation Manager you will bring the following skill-set and behaviours:

  • Proven experience in operations management within live events, concert touring, or the entertainment industry.
  • Strong understanding of the Film & TV sector, particularly regarding music-driven productions.
  • Expertise in managing complex logistics and budgets in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate diverse teams.
  • Knowledge of technical aspects of live performances, including AV setups, stage management, and touring equipment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered.

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to travel extensively, including internationally, and work irregular hours.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory considerations for international tours.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
